HOW FAR CAN I BROADCAST?
Many legal option exist to operate a radio station without a federal license in the commercial broadcast band (530kHz - 1700kHz). However, when transmitting a radio broadcast signal in the commercial AM band, different Federal regulations apply. These vary depending on your status (licensed or unlicensed, individual, institution, government agency, etc.) desired coverage range and frequency.

For some, licenses allowing broader coverage are available.

While there are some VERY RESTRICTED UNLICENSED OPTIONS IN THE FM BAND, Radio Systems does not sell or market any of this equipment as we believe it is too difficult to comply with these regulations.
